Six rules
Ask a specific question
Each conversation focuses on a decision, constraint, result or unresolved question the contributor knows first-hand.
Separate proof from ambition
A research result, a company claim and a scalable product are different things. We say which is which.
Let people correct facts
Contributors review quotations, technical descriptions and material context before publication.
Keep judgment independent
Factual review is not approval of the edit. Access and relationships do not buy a conclusion.
Publish with restraint
Not every useful detail belongs in the public record. Preparation material stays private unless explicitly agreed.

Two records
Published work and preparation material follow different rules.
Open to scrutiny
Conversations, field notes, sources and atlas updates are researched, edited and attributable.
Held with restraint
Research calls, declined material and off-record context are not content.
CORRECTIONS / MATERIAL ERRORS
Correct the record clearly.
Material factual errors are corrected promptly. We do not quietly rewrite a claim when the change affects how a reasonable person would understand the work.
